and I’m so happy that you found your way here! Welcome to my little corner of the Internet.
This blog is something I’ve had in mind since some time. I actually bought this domain in May 2024 and haven’t had the courage to start it. But 2025 just started and isnt’t it the best motivation to begin with something new?
This blog is my little corner of the internet, where I share my journey of navigating life in Korea as a foreigner, my favorite spots in Seoul, and honest reflections about personal growth and change. Whether you’re dreaming of visiting Korea, planning to move here, or simply love thoughtful content, I hope you’ll feel at home in this space.
A little about me
I’m Tori, originally from Germany now calling Seoul my home. At the age of 33 I made the leap to move here, which was both exciting and challenging, and it’s taught me so much about myself and life. Through all the changes, I’ve learned how much I love capturing moments, exploring ideas, and sharing stories and information in a way that feels honest and fun.
Here are a few things about me:
- I am a really structured person and love to organize (so far just for myself or my friends) to make life a little easier.
- One of my favorite things to do is discover hidden gems, whether it’s a cozy cafe, a charming neighborhood, an underrated experience, or the best place to eat .
- Oh, and I can’t resist making things look pretty – photography and editing are my happy places.
What you’ll find here
This blog is all about sharing my journey in a way that’s helpful, inspiring, and real. Here’s what you can expect:
- Life in Korea: I will share practical guides and tips to help foreigners navigate life in Korea with ease, from understanding public transportation to adjust to cultural differences.
- What to do in Seoul: I’ll take you on a journey through my favorite neighborhoods, introduce you to hidden gems, and highlight must-visit cafes and unique experiences across the city.
- Honest reflections: I’ll open up about my personal thoughts on growth, change, and what it really feels like to start over again in a new country.
Why I started this blog
I created this space because I wanted to document my biggest adventure, connect with others and provide something helpful to anyone interested in Korea or personal growth. I hope this blog feels like a trusted guidebook from a friend – filled with practical tips and thoughtful conversations.
So, welcome and thank you for being here! I hope you’ll find something to stick around, share your thoughts with me, and join me on this adventure. I can’t wait to share more with you and also hear your thoughts.
Sending you a big hug from Seoul,
Tori
