Why I Started HiSeoulies

Moving to a new city – or even just traveling solo – can be an exciting yet overwhelming experience. As much as we dream of exploring new places, trying delicious food, going to pretty cafes, and immersing ourselves in different cultures, one thing often feels challenging: meeting like-minded people and making friends.

When I moved to Seoul, I realized how important it is to have a supportive female community. Whether you’re an expat settling into a new life here, a young student finding it difficult to make friends in a Korean University or a traveler looking to make the most of your trip, finding other girlies to connect with can make all the difference.

That’s exactly why I created HiSeoulies – a safe, fun, and welcoming space for women in Seoul to meet, make friends, and explore together! But beyond just making friends, HiSeoulies is also a space where we embrace diversity, respect each other, and grow together as human beings. No matter your ethnic background, religion, sexuality, or personal journey, this is a space where we support, uplift, and learn from each other
